Elegant, classy, and simply regal, having your wedding ceremony in Hedsor House in England nearly always brings effortless elegance, as does Julie Michaelsen capture the case for Sonya & Mohammed’s wedding in the spring.
“A tranquil country escapes from the bustle of London’ Hedsor House is the ideal wedding location for any bride with a royal taste. It is surrounded by 100 acres of impeccable grounds and various luxurious places to hold your wedding ceremony, cocktail reception, and reception. This venue glows with extravagant elegance.
But the bride Sonya has not had trouble getting the most luxurious estate. Sonya exudes timeless bridal beauty in sparkling and elegant Jenny Packham, gold Jimmy Choo heels, and the classic winged eyeliner style. It’s not a surprise that Mohammed and Sonya’s guests appear equally elegant and dressed in bright, sophisticated outfits.
Our Love Story
We first met when I was 16 and visited a friend in London during the summer. I was in Japan in the year, and it was meant to be a summer affair; however, we kept in touch, and when I came to London to study at university, we became “official.”
Favorite Moments
While the day passed way too fast, getting ready for the day with my mother and her friends was a highlight. Then, in the evening, my husband, my maid of honor, and I sat on the lawn discussing the day. It is a beautiful memory.
The Venue & Style
We wanted an English countryside wedding as the majority of members of our family will be traveling from abroad and coming to England for the very first time. I wanted to enjoy the event without worrying about logistics and transportation, so Hedsor House was perfect as the venue staff handled everything, and family members and friends could stay over at the location.
I wanted a simple, clean color scheme, so my bouquets and wedding gown were classical.
The Photography
We don’t like being photographed, and I was intrigued by Julie’s site. I was sure she’d be perfect because the couples she took seemed very relaxed. Her style (romantic as well as classic) is ideal for the location and theme very well.
The Reception
The food was a significant factor for us as a family, and I wanted an assortment of foods that represented the UK, my heritage (half-Japanese and half-Czech), and my spouse’s (Bangladesh). Like the music, we enjoyed a mix of hip-hop from the 90s and Bhangra.
Advice to Other Couples
Make sure to test a trial run with any makeup or hairstyle you are considering. Also, be aware that you will overspend (definitely in our scenario), and having buffers would be beneficial.
